The conveyor, which is the transfer mechanism that carries out the transfer of any material - whatever that material is - from one end to the other, is set in motion by the help of a mobile motor power, human power or based on the force of gravity.

Briefly, conveyor is called the mechanism that minimizes manpower in the transportation and transfer process. Conveyors are used in almost every sector today, and conveyors are prepared in sector-specific shapes to suit each sector and to meet the needs of the sector. For this reason; conveyors are divided into many different groups.

The main material of the conveyors, that is the main chassis, is manufactured from aluminum conveyor profiles or steel if we are talking about heavy materials.

There are many types of conveyors available depending on their purpose and usage area. Conveyor equipments are necessary for the production of these different conveyors. We will discuss detaily these issues in our article.

Different conveyor types:

Chain Conveyor

Chain conveyors can be set in motion with the help of motor power and chain. The conveyor gets movement thanks to the chain that runs along the conveyor. Chains are attached to the product with rollers, buckets, containers or direct hooks and transportation is carried out in this way. Chain conveyors can be manufactured to suit every sector.

Pvc Belt Conveyor

The movement of PVC belt conveyors is provided by motor power. PVC belt conveyors are preferred by sectors that are not directly exposed to heat and are not made of materials that may damage the belt or do not carry heavy loads that may damage the belt.

Conveyors using PVC belts can be manufactured at slightly lower costs compared to other belts and other conveyor types.

The preferred types of PVC Belt Conveyors are: Flat Type, Miniature, Z Type and L Type Conveyors.

There are color options available in PVC belts. PVC belt is generally not suitable for the food industry, but Polyurethane belt can be preferred instead of PVC belt in the food industry.

Modular Belt Conveyor

The structure of modular belt conveyors is more durable than PVC belts. However, unlike PVC belts, modular belt conveyors are not suitable for carrying dust. The movement of modular belt conveyors is provided by motor power.

The types that modular belt conveyors are suitable for are: Flat Type, Miniature, L Type, Z Type and Turning Conveyors.

Since modular belt conveyors are modular, they allow only the damaged part of the belt to be replaced in case of wear problems due to weight or material that may occur in the future. There are many models available in modular belts and the belts vary depending on the sector.

Idler Roller Conveyor

Unlike other conveyor types, the movement of idler roller conveyors is provided by manpower. It is manufactured with a slight inclination according to the area to be used and in this way, the force of gravity is utilized. In inclined idle roller conveyors, material can be transported from one end to the other with a light pushing force, minimizing manpower.

In non-inclined idler roller conveyors, transfer is achieved by pushing power, again minimizing human power. Idler roller conveyors can be manufactured at more affordable costs than conveyors requiring motor power, and the types of idler roller conveyors may vary depending on the sector.
